Food for Work Family Food Packs Third Batch Distribution
A total of 875 families in Surigao City have received food packs (FFPs) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and City Social Welfare and Development (CSWDO), today, January 12, 2024.
“The Food for Work Program" aims to extend assistance to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups and families by giving FFPs and creating temporary employment while at the same time encouraging the community to participate in progress that benefit their locality.
3,103 food packs were distributed to 875 families today in a distribution held at Brgy. Washington Gym.
These beneficiaries are from selected barangay and volunteer groups who give support in the cleaning and maintenance activities of their barangay.
The distribution was attended by City Legal Atty. Lex Joshua Andrew Silvosa, Barangay Affairs OIC Ariel H. Benolirao, Commanding Officer of Charlie Company 30IB PA ILT Benjamin Elisand De Dios, and Assistant CSWDO Officer Mark Caven C. Salar.
