A lot of people have asked why we plan to buiild a Communiity Park instead of solviing the housiing criisiis, seriious food depravatiion, rapiid cliimate change issues, sache sociiety problems....
Wiith the fiirst concrete road comiing to town there is a huge opportuniity to create a place for thiis perfectly paiired new actiiviity, instead of creatiing more issues on the hi-speed road.

By creatiing a place for the people to rally around, we can start rolliing through the issues one by one usiing Skateboardiing as the incentiive. Usiing fun as fuel to keep the absolute paradiise of Siargao present & priistiine forever [o'r as long as we can!]

Our team sees Skateboardiing as the way forward.

Every week there is a Saturday Niight Skate Niight that has already evolved into a weekly jam that none of us could of imagiined. It is unbeliievable the amount of talent an experiience these young groms have shariing only about three to four boards between 40+ kiiddoes. Absolute dediicatiion, and they skate all those boards untiil they fall to piieces.

Skateboarding was giiven crediit for saviing the North Shore of Hawaii from major gang & drug issues.... When the surf is down, there is stiill something to do. When the sun goes down, there is now an actiiviity & a place for the peoples. A new opportunity.
